The pagoda is considered the most holy shrine in Burma. The photogravure shows the small pagodas and pavilions that surround the Golden Pagoda. The photographer of this image is Dr. Martin Hrlimann of Berlin, Germany. His photographs were largely composed of cities and civilizations, and taken mostly with a Sinclair camera.
