Dads Hat ships their used barrels to a local honey producer who in turn ages his honey in these barrels. The honey producer ships these barrels back to Dads Hat who finishes their base rye whiskey in them for another 6 months. This is an excellent rye for sipping or mixing in cocktails and is always the crowd favorite on distillery visits.
