1893 Chicago World's Fair Minnesota State Building - ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAIR3 AAW1 the National Gallery of ArtMinnesota's Building. This is an original 1893 halftone print of the Minnesota Building at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. The architect was William Channing Whitney, of Minneapolis. The statue at the entrance represented Hiawatha bearing Minnehaha "over wide and rushing rivers." The sculptor was Jacob Fjielde. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.) Period Paper has obtained a wonderful set of halftone prints
