The photo was removed early war, judging by the notes on that page. Hermann sees action on the eastern front, then in Metz as besatzungstruppe, after which he ends up in Crete (Oa. Festungsbataillon 623). He has been awarded the Ek2 and the wound badge black. Rare Soldbuch for further research.
