Schmidt, Amsterdam, 1793 van Straten Hoorn The names of the BloklandSilver sprinkling spoon with an openwork bowl, made by the Amsterdam silversmith Jan Valentijn Schmidt. He worked from 1787 to 1810. Jan Valentijn Schmidt was a small scale worker and mainly focused on sugar sprinkling spoons. The spoon with a scalloped edge has a cup at the bottom of the handle and a dove on the top. The spoon is hallmarked with the VS master mark, the Amsterdam city mark, and the date letter I for 1793.
